Energy Efficient Heating
Floor Heating
Concrete floor heating uses heated water running through poly pipes embedded in the building’s concrete slab. The pipe is laid before the concrete is poured and, once encased, is maintenance free. Around 800 metres of pipe is coiled in the concrete slab of an average-sized house with 100 litres of heated water circulating to provide gentle even heat. Fuel source is via gas (natural or LPG), wood, electricity, oil or solar, according to availability and client choice.
Radiators
Radiator heating provides warmth through a house that is safe for children and is recommended for allergy sufferers due to minimal air movement. Each radiator can be individually controlled or thermostatically controlled. Heated water is pumped though each radiator in different rooms of the home. Warmth is achieved in every room and can be changed to suit individual needs Radiators are available in steel and cast iron and in many different heights and widths. After a heat load is done on each individual room, radiator sizes are selected as to which is most suitable. Fuel source is via gas (natural or LPG), wood, electricity, oil or solar, according to availability and client choice
